Pythagoras of Samos 

Pythagoras was a Greek philosopher mathematician and founder of a religious movement. he was born in 570 BC and died in 495 BC  Pythagoras is often called the first pure mathematician. in his younger years he traveled to many different places to study. while he was in Egypt he learned geometry witch would later help him to create the Pythagorean theorem.
